What we collect and why

When you message or call us

Bookings and quotes happen on WhatsApp and by phone. There we receive your name, your number and whatever you tell us: dates, how many people are coming, the type of event or what you need. We use it to reply, quote, book and look after you during your visit. The legal basis is your own request and, once you book, the booking agreement.

When you use the quote form

The form sends nothing to our servers or to third parties: it builds a message and opens WhatsApp so you can send it yourself. While the tab is open, a draft stays in your browser so you don’t lose it if the page reloads; it is deleted when you close the tab.

To check that the form works, Google Analytics records that it was sent, the type of event, the approximate date and the number of guests. It never records your name or what you type under “Details”.

When you browse the site (statistics)

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used and improve it. It records:

• The pages you view and how long you stay.
• Where you came from: Google, Instagram, another website or a direct link.
• The buttons you tap: WhatsApp, call, directions, social media, menu, language, FAQ and video.
• How far you scroll on each page.
• Your device type, browser, language and approximate location (country and city).

Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. We see the data in aggregate (for example, “120 people tapped WhatsApp this week”), never as a named person.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland these statistics only switch on if you accept them in the cookie notice. Everywhere else, including the Dominican Republic, they are on from the start and you can switch them off at any time. Details in the cookie policy.

Hosting data

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical data for each visit (IP address, browser and requested page) to serve the site and protect it from attacks and abuse.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for personalised advertising, and we don’t use advertising or social media cookies.

Who we share it with

• Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager): website statistics, as a data processor.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when you message us, the conversation goes through WhatsApp and is also covered by its own terms and privacy policy.
• Google Maps, Waze, Instagram and TicketExpress: only if you open their links; from then on you are on their site or app, under their own policies.
• Authorities: only when a law or a court order requires it.

Google and Vercel may process data in the United States and other countries, under the safeguards set out in their data processing terms.

How long we keep it

• Google Analytics statistics: 14 months; after that, per-visitor data is deleted and only totals remain.
• Analytics cookies: up to 13 months in your browser. Your cookie choice: 6 months.
• Conversations and booking details: as long as needed to handle your request or booking and to meet legal obligations, such as tax rules.

Your rights

Under the Dominican Constitution (article 44) and Law 172-13 on personal data protection, you can ask us at any time for:

• Access: to know what data we hold about you.
• Correction: to fix it if it’s wrong.
• Deletion: to erase it once it’s no longer needed.
• Objection: to stop using it for a given purpose.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have your GDPR rights: to restrict processing, to take your data with you (portability) and to complain to your local data protection authority.

To use them, message us on WhatsApp or call +1 (809) 330-6696. We may ask you to confirm your identity before sharing or deleting data, and we will reply within the time limits set by law.

You control the statistics yourself: use Cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Children

The site is not aimed at children. Bookings are made by an adult, and we don’t knowingly collect children’s data through the site.

Security

The site is always served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and doesn’t store what you type in the form on any server. Still, no system on the internet is foolproof: if you notice anything odd, let us know.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date above. If the change affects cookies, the notice will appear again so you can choose again.
